John: Hi everyone, and welcome back to RussianPod101.com. I'm John.

John: This is Must-know Russian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 23. In this lesson, you'll learn slang used in the criminal world.
John: The words you are about to learn in this lesson refer to the slang of criminals. Here we have four examples that are recognized by usual people, but there are lots of others that you’ll never hear outside of a prison.

John: The expressions you'll be learning in this lesson are...

John: Karina, what's our first expression?
Karina: крыша (krysha)
John: This literally means "roof," but when it's used as a slang expression, it means "head."

John: It's okay to say this to your friend, but don't try to say it to older people or your parents; they might be offended.

John: This literally means "cool." As a slang expression, it means "cool,” “neat,” or “great."
