Hello Сэм,

Your sentence is great. 👍

Just I corrected one mistake:

"Сегодня я попробую приготовить борщ"

Everything else is fine.

Hello john mosbrook,

This sentence is correct.

обезьян is Plural Accusative case, which should be used in this sentence.

In the expansion sentences for научить the word for 'monkeys' is обезьян. Shouldn't the plural be 'обезьяны'?

Hello Paul,

Yes, you are right!

"потушить" means "to stew". It cannot be translated as "to steam".

"сварить" means "to boil".

Best regards,

Hi guys, In the vocab section потушить is translated as to stew, but in the lesson notes as to steam and сварить is firstly translated as to boil, then to cook. So, can these be used inter-changeably in Russian? They certainly can't in English!

Hello Jeanine,

Your sentence is great!

Just grammar should be fixed a little bit:

"Сегодня я надеюсь (если у меня будет (should be future tense) время) приготовить (should be perfective verb) рассольник! "

Спасибо! Сегодня, я надеюсь (если у меня есть время) готовить рассольник! Thanks! Today, I hope (if I have time) to cook pickle soup!
