Can anyone help.

I have the name of a Russian song: Plohaja Devchonka - does anyone know what Devchonka means. I guess Plohaja is Bad.

Thanks.

Gill, Plohaja truly means Bad :)

Devchonka means a girl, but with a note of affectionate or disparaging familiarity.

For example:
    - affectionate familiarity: Mal'chishki i devchonki, a takzhe ih raditeli, vesyolyye istorii uvidet' nye hotite li? - Boys and girls and also their parents don't you want to see merry stories? (from a song on the beginning of the children TV program)

    - disparaging familiarity: "Gryaznaya, prativnaya devchonka! Ty sevodnya utram dazhe nagtey nye vychistila!" - "You dirty, disagreeable girl! you have never cleaned your nails this morning!" (from "Jane Eyre")
