You have been working very hard at the Russian University you attend. But tonight you are taking the night off in Moscow! You are not doing any homework-only relaxing, eating, and maybe meeting some new Russian people. And across the bar you see a tall, beautiful Russian girl. Your friends have been telling you to go ask her out, but you are not very comfortable with speaking in Russian yet. They are not going to hush until you do though… So, you make your way across the bar-terrified-and you do your best to ask her in Russian what she is doing next Saturday. Apparently, you don’t know how to talk about the future in Russian though and instead you asked her what she was doing this Saturday in Russian. She giggled-at you, not with you-and told you in Russian that obviously she was here at the bar talking to you! Well, it was enough to start a conversation! Imagine if you had just told your professor in Russian you would have your assignments finished tonight instead of next week, or worse…your boss! Your mother warned you that it was going to be cold in Moscow. Of course…you are a big university student now-you don’t need her advice anymore. You packed plenty of coats, and jackets, and sweaters. You’ll be fine. Besides, you’ll be inside the Russian university classrooms most of the time anyway! Mothers! You climb off the plane in Moscow and the icy Russian wind blows right through the coat and sweater you are wearing! It catches you by surprise and your feet come flying out from under you as you stumble onto your…umm…nether regions, and onto the icy Russian sidewalk. The Russian flight attendant leans forward to lend you a hand getting up. As you grasp his hand, he tells you in Russian that you won’t last a day in those clothes during a Russian winter! You would think a big university student would know by now that Mom is always right! Learning Russian with RussianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Russian! This Russian Beginner lesson will teach you how to talk about the weather in Russian and to describe different weather conditions in Russian. You will also learn how to say that someone or something is hot or cold in Russian.
