How about that PDF???
"Три" is similar to "three". "Десять" is similar to the prefix "dec-" which refers to 10 or orders of 10. "ноль" is similar to "null" or "nothing". "Один" and "one" begin with a similar vowel if not sound. "Восемь" has "-ос- which looks like "oct-" for 8. Similar for "семь" and "se-" for 7 and a bigger stretch for "шесть" and "s-" for 6. So to me, there is some tenuous mnemonic to helps to go from English to Russian for these numbers.
Hoping to pick-up my Russian lessons in the next month or so.
Number 0-9 seem quite similar to the Germanic and Romance languages. After that, not so much. I'm just a deer in headlights.
