I agree with broom. Not only can placing the stress incorrectly change the meaning of the word but it can change other pronunciation within the word, ie, o to a. Please underline the stressed vowel.

Your cross-section of words and themes offers a good foundation upon which one can build a solid knowledge of Russia and its culture. Although the Russian language is dependent the accentuation in a word, this is not shown in your listings. One could, for instance write the syllable requiring accentuation in upper-case letters.
