In Russia, builders are highly respected; there is even an honorable state title called 'Honored Builder of the Russian Federation'.

The Russian Orthodox Church has a unique tradition: clergy are split into "white" and "black." The "black clergy" are monks. The "white clergy" are parish priests who are allowed, and were historically required, to be married to serve in a village.
