John: This is Must-know Russian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 9. In this lesson, you'll learn more slang expressions used in blogs.
John: These words are widely used by people who spend a lot of time commenting on Facebook or blogs. They sound a bit unnatural when used in everyday life.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you'll be learning in this lesson are...
Karina: учи матчасть (uchi matchast')
Karina: яростно плюсую (yarasna plyusuyu)
Karina: в рот мне ноги (v rot mne nogi)
Karina: ололо (ololo)
John: Karina, what's our first expression?
Karina: учи матчасть (uchi matchast')
John: This literally means "study the material," but when it's used as a slang expression, it means "you are totally wrong, you are so silly, just use Google."
Karina: [SLOW] учи матчасть [NORMAL] учи матчасть

John: Use this expression when you want to say that somebody is totally wrong and silly for not knowing something.

John: Okay, what's the next expression?
Karina: яростно плюсую (yarasna plyusuyu)
John: This literally means "putting ‘plus’ furiously," but when it's used as a slang expression, it means "totally agree."
Karina: [SLOW] яростно плюсую [NORMAL] яростно плюсую

John: Use this expression when you want to say you totally agree with somebody.
John: Now, let's hear an example sentence.

John: “I completely agree with you.” (Or literally, "I agree with every one of your words.)"

John: This literally means "feet in my mouth." As a slang expression, it means "OMG."
