| In this lesson, you’ll learn conversational phrases to answer the question, "What are you going to talk about?" After watching this video, you’ll be able to introduce a topic you want to talk about. |
| Now, let’s take a look at some conversational phrases! |
| Listen to the dialogue. |
| О чём вы расскажете? (O chyom vy rasskazhete?) |
| Я расскажу о своих увлечениях. (Ya rasskazhu o svoikh uvlecheniyakh.) |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| О чём вы расскажете? (O chyom vy rasskazhete?) |
| “What are you going to talk about?” |
| Я расскажу о своих увлечениях. (Ya rasskazhu o svoikh uvlecheniyakh.) |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “What are you going to talk about?” |
| That's: |
| О чём вы расскажете? (O chyom vy rasskazhete?) |
| Listen to it again: |
| О чём вы расскажете?, О чём вы расскажете? (O chyom vy rasskazhete?, O chyom vy rasskazhete?) |
| This Russian sentence literally translates as “About what will you talk?” |
| But it means “What are you going to talk about?”. |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| Я расскажу о [topic]. (Ya rasskazhu o [topic].) |
| “I'm going to talk about [topic].” |
| This Russian sentence literally translates as “I will talk about [topic].” |
| But it means “I'm going to talk about [topic].”. |
| For example: |
| “I'm going to talk about my hobbies.” |
