Hi, everybody! Всем привет! (Vsem privet!) It’s me Katya. Today, our topic for RussianPod101.com will be 10 phrases to use when you’re angry. I’m so angry! Let’s see how it sounds in Russian.
1. Это не твое дело. (Eta ne tvayo dela.) “It’s none of your business.”
Got it?
Зачем ты купила это дорогое платье?(Zachem ty kupila eta daragoye plat’ye?) Это не твое дело. (Eta ne tvayo dela.) “Why did you buy this expensive dress? It’s none of your business.”
2. Заткнись. (Zatknis'.) “Shut up.”
What kind of examples shall I bring you guys?
Ты пьян. Заткнись! (Ty p’yan. Zatknis’!) “You’re drunk. Shut up!”
3. Оставь меня в покое. (Astaf' menya f pakoye.) “Leave me alone.”
Ну, пупсик, ну чего ты дуешься? Ну иди сюда. (Nu, pupsik, nu chevo ty duyeshsya? Nu idi syuda.)
Оставь меня в покое, я сказала. (Astaf' menya f pakoye, ya skazala.) “I said, leave me alone.”
4. Ты шутишь, что ли? (Ty shutish, shto li?) “Are you kidding me?”
Unbelievable! Hey, babe, can you share your chocolate with me, just a little piece? Please! Are you kidding me? No way. Ты шутишь, что ли? (Ty shutish, shto li?)
5. Мне все равно. (Mne fsyo ravno.) “Whatever.”
Извините, который час? (Izvinite, katoryy chas?) Мне все равно. (Mne fsyo ravno.) “Excuse me. What time is it? Whatever.”
6. Хватит уже. (Khvatit uzhe.) “Cut it out.”
Всё, всё, я поняла, хватит уже! (Fsyo, fsyo, ya panyala, khvatit uzhe!) “Ok, ok, I got it. Cut it out!”
7. Я не хочу с тобой разговаривать. (Ya ne khachu s taboy razgavarivat'.) “I don’t want to talk to you.”
Катя. Катя! (Katya. Katya!) Я не хочу с тобой разговаривать. (Ya ne khachu s taboy razgavarivat'.) “Hey, Katyusha. Katyusha, come on! I don’t want to talk to you.” especially in Russian.
8. Я расстроен. (Ya rastroyen.) “I'm upset.”
Я расстроен. (Ya rastroyen.) Masculine. Я расстроена. (Ya rastroyena.) Feminine. “I’m upset.”
Я только что потеряла свой телефон. Я так расстроена. Я так расстроена!
(Ya tol'ka shto pateryala svoy telefon. Ya tak rastroyena. Ya tak rastroyena!)
“I just lost my phone. I’m so upset. I’m so upset!”
9. И что? (I shto?) “So what?”
Эй, я первый в очереди! (Ey, ya pervyy v ocheredi!)
И что? (I shto?)
“Hey, you cut me in line! So what?”
10. Да что ты о себе возомнил? (Da shto ty a sebe vazamnil?) “Who do you think you are?”
Извините, клуб переполнен. (Izvinite, klup perepolnen.) Да что ты о себе возомнил? (Da shto ty a sebe vazamnil?) “Sorry, club is full. Hey, who do you think you are?”
