Всем привет(Vsem privet)! Hi, it’s me, Katyusha! Today, we’re going to talk about Twenty Travel Phrases You Should Know. You cannot survive without these phrases. So pay attention!
1. Вы говорите по-английски? (Vy gavarite pa-angliski?) “Do you speak English?”
“Hi, excuse me, do you speak English?”
Простите! Извините, Вы говорите по-английски? (Prastite! Izvinite, Vy gavarite pa-angliski?)
2. Здесь ходит автобус из аэропорта в город? (Zdes' khodit aftobus iz aeraporta v gorat?) “Is there a bus from the airport to the city?”
3. Этот автобус идёт в аэропорт? (Etat aftobus idyot v aeraport?) “Is this the right bus for the airport?”
And when you want to get to the airport, you should ask,
Этот автобус идёт в аэропорт? (Etat aftobus idyot v aeraport?) “Is this the right bus for the airport?”
4. Где находится вокзал? (Gde nakhoditsa vakzal?) “Where is a train station?”
5. Извините, сколько оплата за проезд? (Izvinite, skol'ka aplata za prayest?) “Excuse me, what's the fare?”
When you want to take a train or bus, you should ask,
Извините, сколько оплата за проезд? (Izvinite, skol'ka aplata za prayest?) “Excuse me, what's the fare?”
6. Не могли бы Вы дать мне карту? (Ne magli by Vy dat' mne kartu?) “Could I get a map?”
This should be the phrase you should always remember, Не могли бы Вы дать мне карту? (Ne magli by Vy dat' mne kartu?) “Could I get a map?”
I’m lost again.
7. У меня есть бронь. (U menya yest' bron'.) “I have a reservation.”
First thing you should say when you’re in a hotel is, У меня есть бронь. (U menya yest' bron'.) “I have a reservation.”
8. Не могли бы Вы дать мне скидку? (Ne magli by Vy dat' mne skitku?) “Could you give me a discount?”
When you’re in a shop, you can try asking, Не могли бы Вы дать мне скидку? (Ne magli by Vy dat' mne skitku?) “Could you give me a discount?”
9. Сколько это стоит? (Skol'ka eta stoit?) “How much is this?”
Now, this is a phrase which you can use everywhere, Сколько это стоит? (Skol'ka eta stoit?) “How much is this?”
10. Можно померить? (Mozhna pamerit'?) “Can I try this on?”
Now, when you’re in a shop, you should say this, Можно померить? (Mozhna pamerit'?) “Can I try this on?”
11. Я бы хотел это. (Ya by khatel eta.) “I'd like this.”
When you cannot decide what you want in the shop, and finally you know what you want you should say,
Я бы хотел это. (Ya by khatel eta.) “I would like this.”
12. Вы принимаете кредитные карты? (Vy prinimayete kreditnyye karty?) “Do you take credit cards?”
Before you pay you should ask this, Вы принимаете кредитные карты? (Vy prinimayete kreditnyye karty?) “Do you take credit cards?”
The answer could be no. So, be ready.
13. Не могли бы Вы сфотографировать меня, пожалуйста? (Ne magli by Vy sfatagrafiravat' menya, pazhalusta?) “Could you take a picture of me, please?”
And one of the phrases, you can use at all the places you want to take a picture.
Не могли бы Вы сфотографировать меня, пожалуйста? (Ne magli by Vy sfatagrafiravat' menya, pazhalusta?) “Could you take a picture of me, please?”
14. Здесь есть бесплатный вай-фай? (Zdes' yest' besplatnyy vay-fay?) “Do you have free Wi-Fi?”
Also, this phrase could be very useful while you’re traveling.

You should emphasize on бесплатный (besplatnyy) “free”.
15. Места для некурящих, пожалуйста. (Mesta dlya nekuryashchikh, pazhalusta.) “I'd like to have a non-smoking seat, please.”
If you don’t smoke, please be careful to choose your seat. Места для некурящих, пожалуйста. (Mesta dlya nekuryashchikh, pazhalusta.) “I'd like to have a non-smoking seat, please.”
16. У вас есть какие-нибудь рекомендации? (U vas yest' kakiye-nibut' rekamendatsyi?) “Do you have any recommendations?”
17. Есть ли у вас какие-нибудь вегетарианские блюда? (Yest' li u vas kakiye-nibut' vegetarianskiye blyuda?) “Do you have any vegetarian dishes?”
18. У меня аллергия на арахис. (U menya alergiya na arakhis.) “I'm allergic to peanuts.”
19. Воды, пожалуйста. (Vady, pazhalusta.) “Water, please.”
“Excuse me, water, please.” Воды, пожалуйста. (Vady, pazhalusta.)
20. Спасибо. (Spasiba.) “Thank you.”
And of course, you should say, Спасибо. (Spasiba.) “Thank you.”
