Becky: Welcome to 3-Minute Russian Season 1, Lesson 2 - Greetings. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to greet someone in Russian.

Becky: Here's the informal way to say 'Hi.' in Russian.
Elena: [Normal] Привет.(Privet.)
Becky: This expression has only one word meaning 'Hi'
Elena: [Normal] привет. [Slow] привет. (privet)
Becky: Listen again to the informal expression meaning 'Hi.'
Elena: [Slow] Привет. [Normal] Привет.
Becky: Ok, now let's see the formal way to say 'Good day.'
Elena: [Normal] Добрый день.(Dobryy den'.)
Becky: First is a word meaning 'good'
Elena: [Normal] добрый [Slow] добрый (dobryy)
Becky: Last is the word meaning 'day'
Elena: [Normal] день [Slow] день(den')
Becky: Listen again to the formal phrase meaning 'Good day.'
