Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin

Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin was a Russian composer and pianist, one of the leading representatives of the music culture in the late 19th, early 20th centuries. His works were represented by symphonic and piano works, and the nature of his music was dominated by the heroic pathos, fiery expression, the heat of expressed feelings, and sometimes even nervousness and impulsivity.
Scriabin was born on January 6, 1872 to an intelligent family and had all the prerequisites for a deep music and cultural education. According to the traditions of his time, he was first put to study with the cadet corps but after his graduation Scriabin entered the Moscow Conservatory for piano and composition class where he studied the same year with Rachmaninoff.
Scriabin was married twice (the last time unofficially) and had seven children from both wives; he lived abroad for a long time earning a living by performing his own works. He gave concerts in France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and America.
For some time Scriabin taught at the Moscow Conservatory but considered it to be just a way of insignificant earnings, which mostly just distracted him from composing.
The early 20th century brought rev [...]</itunes:summary>
