The audio lessons and rich collection of accompanying resources in the Learning Center are designed to take you from absolute beginner to an upper intermediate level. There is currently learning material for 9 different courses, and we're constantly growing.
On appropriate occasions an informal version of the daily conversation is provided. This is an extremely unique approach as Russian is a layered language in that polite language is used when speaking with people not on intimate terms with the speaker and informal language is used when speaking with intimate people.

The attractive, printer friendly Beginner and Intermediate PDF Lesson Notes enable you to actually see and reinforce what you hear in the podcast, and include the dialogue transcripts and translation, the lesson vocabulary, cultural insight, and detailed grammar explanations. Once subscribed to the Basic Podcast Feed via iTunes, all Free and Basic media files including the audio podcast, bonus audio tracks, videos and all PDF lesson materials will be automatically downloaded for each new lesson as they become available.

Use the word dictionary to find any words you may be looking for, or even just to discover some new ones! Search using Russian or English, and add the word directly to your personal word bank from the dictionary.
Keep track of all of the vocabulary that you want to study using your own personalized word bank. Add to your banks from the lesson-specific vocabulary, from the flashcards, or from either of the dictionaries. Using your word bank, you can really take control of your learning.
The grammar bank is a one-stop collection of detailed write-ups covering Russian grammar constructions. Learn the basic formation, read sample sentences, and study notes that cover the small details which really help you master the construction.
The Verb Conjugation sections let's you choose verbs from varius classes (-AR, -ER, IR, Irregular, Defective) and display their conjugation in an easy to read chart.
