Some tools don't work at all with the Safari browser

Postby spychalachristian6396 » August 12th, 2012 3:17 pm

Hello,

I'm trying your Russian lessons as a Free member.

I'd like to upgrade later as a Premium member, but I'm quite upset when I use some of your tools with my Safari browser.

I can't try "Line-By-Line Audio Transcript", "Vocabulary List with Audio", "Expansion with Audio", "Vocabulary Flashcards". They don't work at all with the Safari browser.

With the three first, the buttons control are here but when I click on them, there is no sound at all.
With the last one ("Vocabulary Flashcards"), when I click on the "Study" icon and after on the "Start session" green button, nothing happens. None of the cards appears. The background still remains black. I tried to reload the page, but nothing works.

Hopefully, when I use the Firefox browser, there is no issue at all. All works fine with Firefox.

My version of Safari is : "Version 6.0 (7536.25)".

I don't like very much Firefox, I prefer work with Safari instead.

Please, could your developer team see if they can fix this issue with Safari ?

Thanks.
- Christian.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for letting us know the issue.

All of those premium functions need the Adobe Flash installed, including the function for listening to the audios, and the flashcard.

Could you first check if you have installed any add-ons blocking the flash on the Safari? If you have installed some plug-ins such as Click to Flash, the site won't be able to play sounds or show you the flashcard.

We've also checked those functions on the latest version of Safari browser, but they worked find on different computers.

Please let us know if you'd still have the issue.

Thank you,

Jae

Hi,

You 're right. The problem was the plug-in Click to Flash.

Now it works perfectly.

Thank you for your help.

- Christian.
