Learn Russian with RussianPod101.com. You are finally getting the rest you so desperately needed in Russia. And even better, your friend is happy that you are living a healthier lifestyle. And you are happy she is off your back!! So happy in fact that you just cannot wait to get to the doctor and tell him the great news!! You tell him in Russian, “Doc, I just can’t wait to share something with you. I decided to throw my towel in the ring and try it your way.” Not really sure what you are talking about, your doctor questions in Russian, “You have quit taking your pills??” Sensing an opportunity to get back at him…just a little…you reply in Russian, “Yes, doctor. I quit taking my pills.” Reacting exactly the way you knew he would, he begins to interrupt, explaining that you have to hang in there, blah blah blah. Satisfied that you caused him to fret, you slyly interrupt him in Russian, “Doctor, you have it all wrong. I am feeling MUCH better! I quit taking my pills, and quit eating cupcakes and chips, and watching TV, and staying up all night! In fact, I even jog every morning! And I sleep like a baby at night. When I said I threw in the towel, I meant I gave up on fighting you anymore. You didn’t think I quit my diet did you…after all, quitting is not for losers in Russia.”
