Your mother warned you that it was going to be cold in Moscow. Of course…you are a big university student now-you don’t need her advice anymore. You packed plenty of coats, and jackets, and sweaters. You’ll be fine. Besides, you’ll be inside the Russian university classrooms most of the time anyway! Mothers! You climb off the plane in Moscow and the icy Russian wind blows right through the coat and sweater you are wearing! It catches you by surprise and your feet come flying out from under you as you stumble onto your…umm…nether regions, and onto the icy Russian sidewalk. The Russian flight attendant leans forward to lend you a hand getting up. As you grasp his hand, he tells you in Russian that you won’t last a day in those clothes during a Russian winter! You would think a big university student would know by now that Mom is always right! Learning Russian with RussianPod101.com is the most fun and effective way to learn Russian! This Russian Beginner lesson will teach you how to talk about the weather in Russian and to describe different weather conditions in Russian. You will also learn how to say that someone or something is hot or cold in Russian. Whats the weather like in your country?
Cold, freezing, hot, humid or just right?
Do you wish it was the opposite, or do you love it?
Do you like to travel to countries that have extreme weather?
Will there be any PDF notes for this week’s Riding the Train Survival Phrases
Haha, in January I am heading over to Russia and I feel that this story of cold Russian weather will become more than just a story.
This lesson now applies to England which is in a state of absolutely sub-zero temperatures today!
